Cliff House Farm Holiday Cottages, Sleights near Whitby

Our aim is to provide our guests with a luxury base in a calm relaxed setting from which to explore the surrounding area. We are happy to accept children over 11 years of age and well behaved house trained dogs by prior arrangement. There is a pet fee of £30 per stay.

Mr Ralphs Cottage sleeps two and is furnished to a high standard. The bespoke hand crafted kitchen is painted in Farrow and Ball Dix Blue and Skimming Stone colours which are carried through to the spacious sitting room with antique fireplace and furniture along with a beautiful hide sofa and comfy armchair.  A log burning stove complements the gas central heating for those cosy winter nights by the fire. There is a 42 inch flat screen TV, DVD & CD player/iPod dock plus a library of DVD's. The bedroom has a double bed with quality 2000 pocket sprung mattress and is dressed in white quality linen. The bathroom houses a marble top vanity unit for that touch of luxury. We supply our guests with ample white fluffy towels. The cottage has an attached secure south facing garden with comfy outdoor rattan dining furniture.

Drake Cottage is a two bedroom cottage sleeping four. One bedroom houses a luxury soaking tub with private sink and toilet and the other has a large luxury bathroom en-suite. The kitchen has direct access to its own beautiful south facing garden with views over the National Park which has comfy outdoor rattan furniture during the summer months. The Kitchen has luxury bespoke cabinets and is equipped to a high standard with a large dining table. This opens into a luxury sitting room with two comfy sofas around an antique fireplace housing a wood burning stove.There is a 42 inch flat screen TV & DVD and after a long day sightseeing you can watch a DVD, or have a candlelit soak in your luxury tub, before opening your favourite bottle of wine and dining with friends or family. If you wish you can walk from the gate in our guest garden and stroll out into the National Park. The guest garden incorporates a summer house (including a four person luxury sauna from January 2020) and ample garden chairs for relaxing or a game of croquet. A Weber BBQ is available on request. 

The Coach House is a very spacious one bedroom cottage sleeping two. It comprises a spacious farmhouse kitchen with good sized Victorian dining table, two armchairs covered in finest wool and a log burner set in a bolection fireplace. Upstairs there are exposed oak timbers and you will find there is a comfy large sofa with foot stool and 42 inch flat screen TV with a Bose surround system . Through an oak archway there is a dressing room with dressing table and large luxury bath. This then leads through a door and down two steps into the main bedroom which houses a king size rattan French style bed, quality shower room en-suite and free standing marble top wash basin in a dark wood unit. Quality bedding and towels are provided to further enhance the luxurious feel. Directly outside the entrance door to this cottage is a comfy set of outdoor rattan dining furniture and chairs which are situated in a sun trap fenced garden onto the courtyard where you can watch the swallows dart back and forth on a balmy summers day.

All threec cottages have their own fenced garden with comfy rattan furniture in the summer months for alfresco dining. You can also let your dog out first thing in the morning and last thing at night with ease. There is a communal guest garden where you can relax looking out to the National Park with views of cows and horses grazing, or play croquet on the lawn. A gate at the bottom of the garden enables you to walk into the National Park on marked footpaths.
